About the band

R2S - The Beginnings

R2S is the result of two guys and their dedication and delivery to their music and friendship.
R2S stands for ‘Run 2 Shiane’ which means run to you happy place, and for the guys the band is just that!

R2S are based in the small town of Tring in Hertfordshire, all of the guys have grown up in and around it, and it's their playground.
The band was orginally formed by Richard Dunn and Steve Bull in 2004, after they split from there old band and started a new and exciting sound known as R2S. Steve and Rich were at first the two main members of the band, with Steve on drums and Rich on guitar and vocals, they recorded an acoustic album (Anyday Tracks), and in 2005 enlisted in the help of there good friend and guitarist Ben Barritt to pick up the bass during live performances.
Then in 2005 R2S took on a full-time bassist known as Joe W (from Fat Maggi and Chasing Rainbows), to join the ride and bring R2S to the world.

Now in 2006 the line-up stays the same and they guys have finally found the sound they have been working for! …
